Job Purpose:
Develop and implement strategies and plans to drive channel performance improvements in order to improve the operating results by working with internal departments and external partners such as manufacturers & distributors by focusing on the consumer.
Duties:
- Develop and implement a strategy to achieve desired revenue and market share results.
- Develop the product portfolio for the channel, buying and merchandising for all brands of Mobiles, Mobiles Accessories and Smart Gadgets through Sourcing brands to sell, vendor identification, evaluation and negotiations.
- Creating accounts of reputable companies in the retail sector, building relationships with clients and handling their accounts
- Marketing brands through tactful exposure thereby increasing sales and giving Brand exposure and product introduction to maximize revenue.
- Performance analysis across the market to identify business development opportunities
- Achieving category revenue numbers whilst effectively managing Inventory.
- Develop processes to ensure the business reacts more dynamically with better data and information related to the supply chain to ensure only value-added products are placed on the shelf based on consumer demand.
- Implement store assortment / ranging of products and services that are profitable and satisfy consumer needs in order to utilize store shelf space more efficiently, appeal to the consumer and eliminate out of stocks.
- Educating and training new sales representatives to function effectively
- Consumer insight and market research and produce clearly defined ranges for each, with a rolling business development pipeline.
